Mashups: Platial
July 24, 2007 on 2:59 am | In Mashups | No Comments
Its a interesting name that conjures up images of tasty food. Ok, I’m strange. Platial is a google maps mashup site that gives users the ability to easily create maps for particular locations that of interest to them. For example, if you are planning a trip to a city, you can use Platial to map out the hotel you are staying at, the museums, landmarks, restaurants, and clubs. You can also use it to let your family and friends know where you are. Google has launched a similar service called MyMaps this year (2007) so hopefully this site and others like it will survive.
